Chris Lawler, MD is a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist (Physiatrist).
He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine with honors in 1984, completed a residency in PM and R in 1988, received post residency training at the Institute for Low Back Care in Minneapolis, and has been in private practice in south Orange County since 1990.
He is a participating provider in most PPO and HMO plans, in addition to treating insurance authorized work injuries.
Doctor Lawler not only practices the art of medicine, but also is an accomplished fine artist, creating stone sculptures and super-realistic airbrush paintings of flowers and animals, including horses and bengal tigers.
"I have been mystified by the complexity and beauty of life since childhood. My fascination and curiousity led to an undergraduate degree in biology, followed by medical school. Beyond the purely scientific and rational, I have the desire to share my experience of the magnificence of creation through painting and sculpture."
